登山杖可以说是穿越、登山者的另一副腿脚，有了这东东，爬山呀，不费劲！在更换成现在所使用的masters之前，一直用的是地摊上的外贸货，便宜，但也相当耐用（杖尖除外），用了2年多了也没什么问题，即没折了，也没弯了，敢情这外贸货也分档次呀！就是这仗尖呀，是真的谢了顶了，都变成圆的了。面对这样一根杖，思绪万千，以后再也不敢带它出去了，这光光的脑袋到时候真要命呀。遂下决心，花重金请“神”回家。
        由此，便有了下面的关于masters的一些文字。
        Masters登山仗在国内并不多见，但其品质与leki是不相上下，曾被BACKPACKER杂志评价为性价比最高的登山杖。Masters全部是意大利原产。
        Masters的产品分三大类，Trekking、Alpine/X-Country、Nordic_Walking，国内销售最多的就是trekking系列，跟我们有关的也就是这个系列。在这个大系里面又分了5个小系列，分别是series anti-shock(防震系列)、series hiking（徒步系列）、series light weight（轻量系列）、series professional（专业系列）、series walking（步行系列）。每一个系列都有自己的侧重点，所以使用的技术也是一样的，提到masters的技术就简单说说在产品中所使用得的技术。
        最令人称道的就是其独有的Kompressor®减震及锁定系统。其特点就是减震的弹簧不是像其他杖放在铝管里，而是在手柄里面，并且在握把上有锁定系统，可以方便快捷的开启减震功能。
Kompressor® antishock

 
The Kompressor® system (Patent Pending), allows hikers to easily lock (turn off) or unlock (turn on) the anti-shock device to meet the demands of the terrain. The Kompressor technology reduces weight without sacrifying durability, to insure superior function today and tomorrow. The extended use of trekking poles on difficult and terrain, such as rocky tracks and the constant rebounds of poles on the ground, might weary our wrists and elbows. The anti-shock system reduces all rebounds by a spring.

This system, enable you to put on or take off the basket very easily and quickly. SBS Super Blocking System

BS Blocking System

 
The BS blocking system, made of temperature resistant materials, ensure reliable performance in extreme conditions. The BS expander makes sure that the telescopic sections hold firm at the adjusted length.
This one-piece expander is securely fastened to the poles so it can't get lost when sections get pulled apart. The BS system is used on several models and has proven its superior dependability in rugged mountain use.

Adjustable strap

 
The majority of the MASTERS grips are equipped with an adjustable strap utiliting a unique automatic stop mechanism to ensure maximum security and performance. The automatic strap is simple to adjust and easy to lock in the correct and most comfortable position. Furthermore, in case of falls, the strap automatically unlocks freeing the hand and avoiding possible injuries to the wrist.

Aluminium

Masters telescopic poles are all made of 7075 tempered aluminium alloy: its mechanic resistance is 56 Kg/mm2 F56. Shafts are strong and light, perfectly designed for trekking use.

Tip Support

Masters Trekking poles are now equipped with a new plastic support for both steel and carbide tips. This new support will enable the user to easily replace the eventual worn-out tips.

        在具体选择哪款的时候，对国内市场是能够买到的几款产品作了个简单得比较，当然，这个比较都是建立在我本身的需要上的，可以说是“因地制宜”的比较。
        首先看价格，不管买什么东西价格都是需要考虑的一个重要方面，毕竟咋这钱不是潮水潮来的，既然花钱当然要达到预期效果的最大值。
        下面是一个价格的简表：

        因为打算要买1对，所以决定去掉一个“最高分”，x-light pass了。虽然很喜欢轻量的东西，但这个价格，真晕，不管怎样还没烧到那个程度。
        首先看了下最便宜的active，户外的东西绝对是一分价钱一分货，这个虽然便宜，但是，东西实在没法看了，就跟以前用的那个外贸货差不多了。剩下的几款中将hike photo camera pass掉，因为这款是带云台的，可以当作独角架使用，所以这样的东西当然与我无缘了。
        剩下的这四款分属四个类别，其中只有kompressor具有减震功能。关于减震功能各有各的看法，在我看来，减震有其好处也有其弊端，在徒步行走当中确实可以减少手臂的疲劳程度，但是，在一些情况下减震会发生危险。当从一个较高的地方小到一个较低的地方时，先将杖探出，然后身体中心前移，此时，如果使用的是一款带有减震的登山杖，那身体重力的影响必然会使登山杖的减震系统运作，那么握把就会向下移动一段距离，这个易懂的过程是突然的，在重心前移的过程中，突然得这么一下会改变身体的重心，造成身体重心前移，从而会身体前倾，后果就是“咣当”，如果下面陡壁，那可就惨了。不过好在kompressor具有减震锁定功能（他的锁定功能是通过转动握把来完成的），如果正常操作当然不会发生这样的事情了，但就怕到时候忘了转握把关减震就麻烦了。所以呢，干脆买就买不带减震的，省去了转换的麻烦。从而，kompressor pass了。既然说了kompressor，那就简单说说这款杖。这款杖在2003年的英国一个户外杂志的评比中得了4分（满分5分），10度前倾握把，masters特有的kompressor减震系统，坚固耐用伸缩性强，应该是一款不错的杖，但唯独这305g的重量不尽如人意。
